Super Bowl XLV Tailgateing competition gets a warm reception from Fort Worth!

Sundance Square and Bing threw a Texas sized tailgating party on Thursday. Good food and good fun were had by all that stopped by to party. Six competing tailgating crews from across the country grilled up some goodies such as tasty brats, tender chicken, melt in your mouth brisket and seafood gumbo, to name just a few. The New Orleans Saints Reggie Bush and former Dallas Cowboy Jay Novacek were among the celbrerty guests. Even though there was only one winner, the Bulls Eye Tailgaters representing the Houston Texans, they all made our bellies happy.

As the DFW Metroplex gets ready for Super Bowl XLV, Fort Worth and Sundance Square prepared this past weekend to host ESPN where they will be broadcasting over 80 hours of programming this week. Despite the fact that the area is bracing for sub freezing temperatures and the possibility of ice, ESPN has stated that they will continue with their plans to broadcast from Sundance Square. Fort Worth is the host to the AFC Champion Pittsburg Steelers who will be staying at the Omni Hotel located just south of Sundance Square. Fort Worth was also busy this past week sprucing up the downtown area. Many of the city's businesses also chipped in by changing the lighting of their buildings to red to support the Steelers and the AFC conference. ESPN's Mike and Mike show was the first to broadcast from Sundance Square this morning, and Mike Greenberg commented on how beautiful Sundance Square is. This is his first trip to this side of the metroplex having visited Dallas and Arlington in the past.
